Emotions are more of a guide than an unwanted experience and feelings are a build up of energy that brings your attention to this guide. Feelings are typically associated with Rogue emotions. When you’re lost in the feelings alone, there’s no place to go for relief. This is why many people avoid how they are feeling and become reactive or worse turn to abusive behaviors such as drinking or other addictions. By separating the feelings that you are experiencing from your emotions, you develop awareness and direction.
You go from an autopilot reaction to a conscious action and decision. There’s usually more to the story around an autopilot reaction that happens when you avoid facing your feelings. This story is what we want to bring your attention to. By separating your feelings from your emotions you allow yourself to see a larger picture. One that entails a back story of some sort.
People typically react because of their past experiences or experiences that they’ve witnessed happen to someone else or been taught a belief by someone influential to them. There’s basically a story playing in the background. When the feelings around the emotion being felt are removed, you are able to address the emotions itself. This is powerful because it allows you to see what that particular emotion is directing you to.
By being conscious of your emotions, you naturally begin to see why you might be feeling the way that you are and then move in that direction to ultimately give yourself emotional peace. Which brings us to the Emotional Footprint program. Emotions acting as guides directing us to something within us applies to the Rogue emotion. The unprocessed emotion that occurred in a past experience. The Emotional Footprint uses Rogue emotions as a signpost to bring your attention to a belief that is hurting you or a story that you may be telling yourself that is inaccurate.
The difference between a Rogue emotion and regular emotion is that regular emotions are new, uncharged from past experiences, and free to leave once processed and fully experienced. It’s a rich experience that’s heartfelt and natural. While a Rogue emotions are unprocessed emotions. They could not be fully felt in the moment that they occurred and thus they became part of the Emotional Footprint program. They are used by this program to show you what beliefs you are holding onto so that you can change them. Once a Rogue emotion is created, it will continue to surface until you have satisfied the Emotional Footprint program that it is associated with.
Picture a Family Tree; At 3 years old you have an initial core experience that threatens your early childhood core beliefs associated with unconditional love. This experience created 3 emotional footprints. Each of those Emotional Footprints then branches out and attracts experiences of their own that may be closely connected to the core experience, but also slightly different.
If you don’t authentically change your beliefs and adopt a new perspective from these secondary experiences, thereby satisfying the Emotional Footprint programs, you’ll most likely end up creating more emotional footprints that then stem from each of those secondary experiences and so forth. This will continue to happen until the Emotional footprint programs have been satisfied and deleted.
This is why so many of us have a lot of Emotional Footprints and struggle with emotional wellbeing. When Emotional Footprints compound in this way, it adds an additional emotional charge/component to the emotional footprint program. Emotional Footprint is not the thought or belief, but the felt emotion that is triggered by them. The original stored emotion or Rogue emotion that is stored in the Emotional Footprint program has a stronger charge now as it has new compounding Rogue emotions associated with it that it never had before.
This is also why it can feel almost impossible to not react to a situation. In many cases, people do not hold back and let that energy control their actions.
Because the program is not satisfied. Seeing that it’s there and understanding why it is there won’t stop it from operating. You need to have patients and allow your awareness to show you the bigger picture and be willing to change your beliefs. That is easier said than done for most people. People cling to their beliefs very strongly because they are safe in this moment. It’s difficult to see that some beliefs are detrimental to their health in the long run.
We tend to think in the present moment and how we are feeling right now. You might say that many of us are addicted to our beliefs. Not willing to let them go even though they are hurting us. Emotional Footprints need to be addressed and released in a very specific way with the right understanding. The program needs to be addressed directly through a higher understanding. That is the purpose of the Biko Method. To do exactly that and to save us time on trying to figure it out the long way.
Emotions are triggered by events even before the conscious mind has time to process what is going on. If we are in danger, our body will go into a stress response, fight or flight. When Emotional Footprints are present they can cause chronic stress which keeps the mind in a fight or flight state for longer periods of time resulting in many health issues stemming from high cortisol levels. The subconscious looks to protect your highest interest, so it responds to your current beliefs.
Even if something is not a threat, if you’ve come to believe it is, your subconscious will protect you anyway (stress response in EFT - fight or flight mechanism). It will activate in accordance with your beliefs. Eventually, you will realize the truth if you are overreacting through the Emotional Footprint program. That is the point of it. Unfortunately, most people still have a hard time realizing the truth and spend many years trying to figure out why they are in so much pain. They are not willing to question their beliefs.
It needs you to change your beliefs if they are not serving you. Most likely these beliefs are hurting you in some way. Until you change your beliefs, you will continue to replay the original (undesired) experience in one way or another. To satisfy the Emotional Footprint program, you need to achieve a new level of awareness that acknowledges the truth. You cannot change your beliefs without understanding the bigger picture first. This takes time and consistency through the future and possibly painful experiences. That is the organic approach without outside synthetic processes or techniques such as the Biko method to speed things along.
When we have an experience, depending on perspective and most importantly our beliefs, we can have an emotional reaction to it. If our beliefs are threatened and we are unwilling to change them in that moment then an Emotional Footprint can be created to bring our attention to a lie that we may be believing that is detrimental to our overall well being. When a belief is threatened, it will bring up an emotion. If that emotion is not processed in the moment it occurred through authentically integrating a new perspective it will be stored and brought back as a signpost in the future through another event. The Emotional Footprint program is the mechanism that does this to help change outdated beliefs that are no longer useful.
The emotion itself; the Rogue emotion is the signpost created by the Emotional Footprint program to bring your attention to an unprocessed emotion. The outward reaction that you have is caused by this Rogue Emotion.

We typically feel safer repeating actions that we made in past experiences over changing our actions even if they are hurtful inappropriate. The fear of change locks us into a negative pattern, one where our belief system is telling us it's alright, even when others tell us otherwise We become familiar with what we have already done and on some level believe that it wasn’t so bad or we wouldn’t have done it in the first place. We do and tell ourselves anything at times just to avoid doing something differently.
